WERNER MAX GLASER With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, Werner. He passed away peacefully at home on April 13, 2008. Left to mourn Werner's passing are his daughters, Jackie (Jim), Louise (Marty) and son Rick (Heather), grandchildren, Sean, Chani (Darren), great-granddaughter Sara, sisters, Edith (Hans), Crystal, Ursula and brother Lothar (Rosemund) in Germany and the United States and his crokinole partner and good pal Lee. He was predeceased by his parents Max and Frieda, his beloved wife, Rosemarie and his first born son Klaus. Werner was born in Zwikau, Germany on December 4, 1926 and married Rosemarie on September 28, 1948. They immigrated to Canada in 1954 with their children, Klaus and Jackie. Several years later Richard and Louise were born. Werner worked as a printer until his retirement. Werner enjoyed fishing, walking at the Zoo, woodworking, camping and traveling with his family. He was an avid skier until his later years. He was a loving husband, father and Opa. Family was most important to him. Dad also loved to putter in the garden and was especially proud of his tomatoes. He is re-united with his wife, Rosemarie and son Klaus which is where he wanted to be. He will remain with us in our hearts and memories forever. We are all fortunate to have had him in our lives. Flowers are gratefully declined but we know that Dad would be honoured to have donations made to the Assiniboine Park Zoo or Cancercare Manitoba in his memory. Following Werner's wishes, cremation will take place with no funeral and a private interment will be held. Thank you Dad for being a special part of our lives. We love you and will always miss you.
